"Small parts" are usually classed as those capable of being
stored in metal, or plastic containers.
The containers can themselves be used to store small parts within a shelving system,
or on louvred panels. These panels are perforated steel sheets which
allow the containers to be hung on them and can be screw-fixed direct
to a wall, integrated into a shelving system, housed within cabinets,
or mounted on fixed stands or mobile trolleys.
Specialised fixtures can be provided to store a range of small parts - machine tools,
hooks and spigots are used for hanging blister packs etc. Containers
are available in a vast range of sizes and can be open, hopper-mouthed,
fitted with clear or opaque lids, sub-divided, stackable, nestable,
free-standing, reinforced and manufactured from plastic, steel, fibreboard
or timber as suits the application.
