Dulieu Associates was founded in March 1979 by the late George Dulieu. Having
worked for a large shelving and racking manufacturer for 23 years, his disenchantment
with the traditional sales environment and foresight in recognising the
need for an independent agent offering a wider range of products from a
single source saw the first year's targets greatly exceeded. This gave George
great heart to develop the business and by 1983 had moved from the humble
converted bedroom at home into commercial premises and had his daughter,
Michelle working as his secretary/PA.
A year later and son John was on board helping to service the rapidly expanding
client list. Michelle and John were made Partners with George in 1987 and
were subsequently joined by Michelle's husband, Ralph in 1988. Ralph became
a Partner in 1990.
George sadly passed away in 1996; a great loss to a small family business,
but the remaining Partners, determined that the success not be wasted, continued
to grow the business accepting larger and more diverse contracts.
The dramatic increase in operations undertaken within the Automotive Aftermarket
sector compelled the three to form D A Automotive Storage Ltd in 1998, which
already has a high profile and is renowned for quality and value in this
niche market.
Subsequently in 2003, John married and moved to Pennsylvania to settle with his
American wife and is thriving as a successful Realtor. Ralph and Michelle continue
to offer innovative solutions to their clients' evermore demanding space management
requirements.
